Trip to the border with Sjoerdtje and Abe

Sjoerdtje and Abe were in Fang for a few days and we had a wonderful time together. Sjoerdtje and my auntie Tjits came together to the wedding last January so it was nice that she could show Abe beautiful Fang.

We took a trip to the border with Burma along a windy mountain road. So pretty... I still love it like I just have seen it for the first time...

Here you see (and above) the Burmese army in one of their many camps.

We had lunch in a village high in the mountains. A boy was playing with a tire and when we took a photo he hold up his hand for money. Got to be opportunistic in life sometimes no?

The Thai army seems to be well prepared for a coming enemy!

The road was small and really bad, basically it was washed away. Stunning view far into Burma with only trees and more trees.

Sjoerdtje in the back of the truck!

Well armed soldiers. I was so busy making photo's that I just avoided being scooped out of the truck by the post pole. Well it made everyone laugh including the soldiers.
